ASTM International
ASTM International, in the past known as American Society for Testing and Materials, is a worldwide principles association that creates and distributes deliberate agreement specialized guidelines for a wide scope of materials, items, frameworks, and administrations. About 12,575 ASTM intentional agreement norms work internationally. The association's home office is in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, around 5 mi (8.0 km) northwest of Philadelphia. A gathering of researchers and architects, driven by Charles Dudley, framed ASTM in 1898 to address the regular rail breaks influencing the quickly developing railroad industry. The gathering built up a norm for the steel used to create rails. Initially called the "American Society for Testing Materials" in 1902, it turned into the "American Society for Testing and Materials" in 1961 preceding it changed its name to "ASTM International" in 2001 and included the slogan "Principles Worldwide".
